Before sowing, remove all weeds from around the plot. As the plant grows, continue pulling weeds regularly. Because they grow slowly, lentil plants are easily overtaken by weeds. Once the pods turn brown and the piths hard, the harvest can begin. At the latest, harvest once the first pods open. Thresh the plants in a bag or sieve.
