Description
Mild-tasting vegetable; resistant to bolting; best harvested when young and tender. If planted in autumn, spinach can remain outdoors throughout winter. Suitable for window boxes in early spring.
Spinach does well in deep, rich, soil (free of fresh fertilizer) and in a sheltered, sunny location. Loosen the soil on a regular basis and keep moist. Sow thin in rows.
