Giant kohlrabi are slow-growing and bolt-resistant. The kohlrabi can grow to 8 kg yet it remains tender. Ideally suited for storing and freezing.
Kohlrabi prefers nutrient and humus-rich soil. In dry conditions, water regularly to keep the kohlrabi from bursting. Fertilize from time to time. Lack of water and nutrient deficiencies lead to stunts in growth.
Sow thin. Harvest earlier by covering the area with foil. Rotate crop each year!
