Smooth-skinned, savory variety. Usually consumed raw or in salads.
With a six to eight week cultivation period, the radish is well suited as a catch crop and can be planted wherever space allows. They thrive in almost any soil. Radishes need a uniform supply of water in order to keep the skin smooth and the taste mild.
Radishes may be planted in the same spot every 3-4 years. Under no circumstances should fresh manure or unripe compost be used!
