Lettuce thrives well in all types of garden soil. Sow flat and thin every 2-3 weeks in order to harvest leaves year round. Transplant once lettuce is about 5 cm in height. Avoid planting too deep as lettuce thrives particularly well in moderate temperatures and abundant light. Frequent watering is crucial to promote rapid growth and tender leaves.
