Looseleaf with wavy, light-green leaves. Allow lettuce to continuously form new leaves. Refrain from harvesting the inner leaves (heart). Leaves grow back every 2-3 weeks.
Lettuce thrives in all types of garden soil. Sow flat and thin every 2-3 weeks in order to harvest leaves year round. Transplant once lettuce is about 5 cm in height. Avoid planting too deep. Lettuce thrives particularly well in moderate temperatures and abundant light. Frequent watering is crucial to promote rapid growth and tender leaves. Once the lettuce firms up and the heads begin to close, water less frequently.
