Leaves and flowers are edible (pleasant cucumber flavor). Harvest young leaves before the plant blooms. Use fresh or freeze. Dice and add to leafy salads, cucumber salads, sauces or use when preserving dill pickles. The flowers can be dried. This plant is a natural defense against slugs and snails and an excellent honey plant.
